It's worth waiting to look at, but not worth betting on as a SC4-killer in the city-building genre. I wonder what a new title, with the same detail and deep mechanics, will end up needing in order to run when they throw modern graphics at it? My assumption is that cities in such a game would be smaller and the variables incorporated into play will be much less detailed. SC4, given its druthers, will push very good systems to their limits. SC4 is, perhaps, the most complex city-building simulator and there's a great deal going on, under the hood, to fiddle with. I will wait, like I always do, until the game has gone through a couple of rounds of patches before I even start to consider buying it.īut, if it delivers on what it promises, I will be very surprised. I'm sure Cities Skylines would promise everyone ponies if that moved preorder sales. These days, 'promises' are only marketing tools to attract attention. It promises to blow Sim City and the other city building games out of the water!
